RICCARDO MASI

Foto
Purgatory, 2007
cm 30x40
#1 from the edition of 8
Silver gelatin print on baryta paper

Riccardo Masi was born in Trieste in 1965. He holds his first camera, a YashicaFX3 - a gift of his mother - at the age of fourteen. From a young age he understood that his path would not be the classical photography, much in vogue at the time (street, reports, etc...), but the one that poses the form to the content service.

Convinced black and white photographer, Masi believes that inspiration is derived from the instinct and each of his shot is a composition due to the author's vision combined with his personal thought-form.

With many economic sacrifices he buys an old Leica and a Rolleiflex he still works with.
All his photos and printings are analog.
